Back from the Paintshop
Some while ago, I showed a completed NER auto-trailer and mentioned that it was for the paintshop. Given that it was to go into full NER coaching livery I am pleased it was not my paintshop!
Well, it is now back and doesn’t it look fine…………..

The painting and lining has been done by Warren Haywood and as you can see there is little to fault about it. It now needs finishing with grab handles, buffer heads and glazing.
And that reminds me that I have another one in the box and they did tend to operate as pairs……….

Nice job on build and paint of an NER coach. It gives me the ideas in paint jobs for my own jobs.
Very nice build and finish.
A very fine finish indeed! But how do you attach grab handles? Which glue holds firmly enough without spoiling the finish?
Hi Chris,
We (it may not be me as I built the coach for someone else) will probably use araldite to secure from behind; the other option being evostick. Superglue runs the risk of seeping through the hole for the grab handles.
Mark
Bloody gorgeous.
